FEELING THE HEAT? • This AEC Mandator Mk.V artic of Allisons Freightlines was clearly feeling the heat as it ground its way up the steep ascent past Hayward Tyler’s factory in Luton’s Kimpton Road back in 1968. Loaded with steel from Colville’s of Glasgow, it was showing signs of boiling as a gentle plume of steam escaped from its radiator filler.
