Great to be back • After an enforced hiatus of 15 months, once more the Stafford showground welcomed motorcycles into its arena.

Successful return to Stafford • The new record price for an AJS E90 Porcupine was the headline-making news in an auction where 98 per cent of lots sold.

The start of it all • Ducati has long since sold its customers what the factory raced, with this rare model the one which set the precedent.

Tribute to Tony • When Jeff Tanner’s childhood friend Tony Moyle passed away, his old Matchless was left in a shed for many years, before Jeff acquired it and brought it back to fine fettle.

1951 Black Shadow " Saigon Shadow"cairns Nth Q'id • An amazing tale of how an example of Stevenage’s finest ended up in Vietnam, before finding its current home in Australia.

John Renwick • After a period of illness, John Renwick died earlier this year. He was a well known authority on tuning Vincent engines.

Great Scott • Though over nine decades old, the Yorkshire-made two-stroke is still a thrilling performer.
