Gina Jeanz • ‘My personal style is a balance between casual and elegant. I really like playing between the two moods. When I’m DJing I like to express myself in fashion, wearing all kinds of statement pieces. But then on a dinner date I go for a more classic, sophisticated look. So it’s definitely a balance between the two.’

Jenny le Roux • ‘Believe it or not, I don’t buy many clothes. I stick to what I call “investment dressing” – expensive but made to last. Good fabrics are essential. Before we all stopped going out, my favourite evening goto look was an Issey Miyake skirt worn with a taffeta silk jacket by Malene Birger.’

Wardia Essop • ‘My mood influences what I wear (I’m a Gemini, so there is no telling which mood I might be in on the day); this is why I never plan my outfits in advance. I do love mixing masculine and feminine elements. I tend to go more fem for evening and for work, and at weekends I veer towards more of a masculine mix.

THE WHY, THE WHICH & the wardrobe • Some things just never go out of style: a good pair of jeans, a crisp white shirt, and a mix of masculine and feminine. But the magic is in finding the right pieces and putting them together just so – which is why we dropped in for an instructive chat

‘My significant other other’ • We all have that person in our lives, where the connection just feels so real and right. We may not see or speak to them every day, but the powerful bond we have never fades. Five women share their stories about their go-to somebody.

They don’t make them like SHARON STONE any more • She grabbed the world’s attention by crossing her legs in Basic Instinct. At the age of 63, the Hollywood sex symbol has written a frank memoir – and she’s still making jaws drop.

Ma nifesting 101 • TikTok video clips with the hashtag ‘manifestation’ clocked up almost 5 billion views in 2020. Everyone’s talking about it, but is it just a reaction to pandemic powerlessness, or could it actually work?

And the star of the show is… YOUR HOUSE! • You may have given up on your dreams of a career in the movies, but what about your house? Doesn’t it deserve a chance too?! Jokes aside, letting your home for shoots is a great way to make some cash.

How to audition your house as a film set

HOW FAR MUST WE MARCH, MR PRESIDENT? • THE 24TH OF AUGUST MARKED TWO YEARS SINCE 19-YEAR-OLD UCT STUDENT UYINENE MRWETYANA WAS MURDERED INSIDE A CAPE TOWN POST OFFICE. TWO YEARS. WE CAME TOGETHER AS A NATION IN OUR GRIEF AND CONDEMNATION, VOWING TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE RELENTLESS TORRENT OF GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE IN SOUTH AFRICA. HAS ANYTHING CHANGED IN THE LAW, THE POLICE OR SOCIETY SINCE THEN?

WHAT THE BILLS MEAN

Spiritual THERAPY A new direction for psychology? • Forget the talking cure… Psychologists are increasingly embracing the spiritual cure. The expanding field of transpersonal psychology suggests it may be the missing piece of the mental health puzzle.

Join us… in Jhb for the FAIRLADY BOSCHENDAL PAMPER DAY! • Enjoy a luxurious day filled with pampering treatments, a makeover, a delicious lunch and a sparkling Boschendal MCC tasting at the Radisson Spa & Wellness Centre in...
