PD’s archive • While day-to-day life might seem a bit repetitive there are always changes taking place that, over the decades, reshape the world around us. CLASSIC DELIVERY, SIXTIES STYLE • Getting new cars to dealers in mint condition without putting miles on the clock became a priority for manufacturers from the late 1940s onwards. This 1961 Bedford TK artic with Carrimore trailer is a true classic, seen here loaded with four Vauxhall FC Victor 101s and a lone Bedford CALV. London-based Dealers Deliveries Ltd, established in 1948, was one of several such car delivery specialists and had depots in Luton, Birmingham, Coventry and Oxford.
