THE 52ND EAST COAST RUN

BUXTON BOYS RUN 2022 • The now-annual Buxton Boys Run took place on the roads around Derbyshire at the end of July. The event, organised by Andy and Julie Dyson, saw around 25 vehicles take part, with a shorter route being taken this year, reflecting the price of fuel. There was still some spectacular scenery to enjoy though, even if the weather was a bit misty over the Derbyshire tops.

CIRCUS LORRIES • Following the success of our ongoing occasional series on fairground lorries, we thought we’d widen the (safety..) net a little, with a look at some older lorries working around the big tops.

AUSTIN OR MORRIS? • The Editor compares and contrasts BMC’s in house rival offerings from the fifties and sixties from the viewpoint of buyers then and now.

MODEL CORNER • Though no toy Y Types were made while the vehicles were current, the whitemetal kit makers have made up for it since, as Mike Neale discovers…
