Show us yours

The way we were… • Send us your nostalgic snaps of you back in the day with your steed! Either send to me at bsimmonds@ mortons.co.uk or via our vibrant Facebook page. C’mon, we’ll send you a T-shirt if you are our first pick!

Assault and battery! • Simon Whitelock has built many classic specials, so what could provide a new challenge? Some might not like the idea, but he converted a Kawasaki triple to electric power.

‘Just right...’ • The Suzuki GSX-R750 is no more, at least not in the UK. From 1985 it started the sports bike, race-replica craze and probably the best version ever was released 15 years ago… It’s a veritable classic and – if you want to be a Gixxer Goldilocks – you’ll find that compared to the 1000 and 600, this 750 is ‘just right’…

FOUR-midable! • We ride one of Honda’s rather impressive late 1990s 400s, where small is most definitely beautiful. Check out the Honda CB400 SuperFour Version R…

SPECTIVE BMW R1100 RS

Saw point! • Ralph Ferrand works with tools all day long – he sells them too at bikerstoolbox.co.uk so he knows what works.

Q & A

Great balls of fire! • Martin ‘Maverick’ Fox is finding out that resurrecting a knackered GPZ900R is harder than taking on a sky full of upset enemy aircraft… Oh dear!

All the gear… • …and an idea on how to refurbish it. Our Ralph is back with part two of his switchgear restoration piece.

Sharpened Blade! • Our man Bolas buffs up his Blade and immediately finds a new owner! Let’s hope we can ride it this summer…

SHOW US YER SHED! • We want to see YOUR shed, your workshop, your garage space, your man/ person cave – call it what you will! We want to know what you love and loathe about the space you have to fettle and – each month – we have a £50 Machine Mart voucher to give to you if you’re selected! Contact us at: bsimmonds@mortons.co.uk Don’t forget the pictures! See our very own Pip Higham’s workshop words as a template below…

cmm Summer Competition! • We all love summer… and during the season there’s nothing we like more than to open our shed, gaze at our bikes, fire up the barbecue and have a few drinks!

YAMAHA RD350LC • If a certain brewery made 350cc two-strokes this could very possibly be it! Probably…

Master the man cave! • In part one of his workshop building masterclass, Ralph Ferrand shows how to design, build and equip your very own workshop.

Bay-watch* • Kev Raymond keeps his eye on the choppy waters of the classic world to see if any projects, donors and bargains are out there worthy of being dragged out of the surf for some mouth-to-mouth…

Fighter finished! • After two years and double the initial outlay, Bertie’s Aprilia is finished. She’s close to perfect and most definitely unique. He’s one very happy bunny…

All wired up! • Mark is getting into...
