BATTLING BOXER! • Want to meet the daddy of the current crop of Bavarian battlers in world racing? Then look no further than the AMS-Fujii BMW Boxer eight-valve where east meets west…

REVIVE AND THRIVE! • The Goodwood Revival is always a big classic racing highlight, held last time out over September 16-18. Legendary snapper Phil Masters was on hand for Classic Racer.

ICONIC METAL #34 1986 YAMAHA FZ750R – 0U45

ROSSI VS BIAGGI • The greatest rivalry of Valentino Rossi’s career was with Max Biaggi. Now that both men have retired and the dust has settled, Classic Racer discovers why they hated each other with such intensity.

KAWASAKI KR750 • Kawasaki’s big Green Meanie, as campaigned by Aussie Gregg Hansford in 1977/78.

BEST OF BRITISH! • And Japanese, too! Honda Britain stemmed from humble origins in 1975 and became one of the most successful outfits in the paddock, as its founder Gerald Davison explains in the first of our three-part series.

SUPER SNETT! • The Classic Racing Motorcycle Club rolled into Snetterton over the weekend of September 3/4. Once more, our dynamic duo of Graham Lawlor and Pete Morris reported back for Classic Racer.

COOL CROFT! • The Classic Racing Motorcycle Club’s final meeting of the year was at Croft, over the weekend of October 1/2. The ultimate event was recorded again for Classic Racer by those legends Graham Lawlor and Pete Morris.

MANX MARVELS! • Classic action was back on the agenda at the Manx Grand Prix event and Classic Racer was there to record the action, courtesy of John Watterson and the team.

Back in the Day • Welcome to ‘Back in the Day’ where we want to see all your old photographs from way back when. They could be of you racing, or perhaps you meeting your racing idol – or maybe just snaps you’ve taken at a race event from yesteryear: do be mindful of copyright! There’s a prize for the best! Send them to: BSimmonds@mortons.co.uk

Sidecar action • We want to see YOUR pride and joy race machine in the pages of Classic Racer EVERY issue. It doesn’t matter if you no longer race, or no longer race the bike anymore – share with us the specs, stories and memories of your time racing your favourite steed! Email your hi-res shots and words to: bsimmonds@mortons.co.uk. Let us know what you’ve done and how you’ve done it, and tell us about your favourite race too!
