STY LE AND SUBSTANCE • Any Super Minx is a thing of beauty that manages to shrink extravagant US styling down to suitably compact British proportions, but the Convertible has to be the most stylish and flamboyant of the lot.

BACK TO THE 1930S • The Tiger Moth aeroplane pictured here is three years younger than the 1938 Austin Ten, and the Austin's owner Paddy Doherty is clearly some decades younger than either of them. So what persuaded him and co-conspirator Graham Fitzhugh to breathe new life into the little saloon car?

A HEAVENLY BODY • The Toyota Celica may have been a Japanese take on the Ford Mustang theme, but it took its name from the Latin for 'heavenly.' The first-generation cars from 1970-1977 are now seriously cool, but Malcolm Graham-Jones' bronze GT is probably the most beautiful of a very stylish bunch.

PROJECT MGB GT • We delve into our MGB GT project by trying to resolve its cold-start issue, visiting our local MoT testing station for an inspection and a brake test, and fixing some of the problems that are found.

Two steps forwards, one step back!

BARBARA SKINNER • Part of the famous Skinner family forever associated with Skinners Union and the SU carburettors, Barbara Skinner was a talented racer who was a leading light when women were struggling for equality in motorsport.

RELIANT REGAL 3/25 DE-LUXE • Having separated the body from the chassis and removed any exterior trim, this issue our attention turns to fibreglass repairs. They prove easy enough, but taking the body back to its gel coat in preparation for paint is a slow and tedious operation.

PROJECT ROVER 95 • So far, our project P4 has required only modest outlay on parts and specialist labour. All of that changes this month though, as we take a peek under a little flap of body filler that is lifting off the rear wing – and wish we hadn’t!
