A DRIVING AMBITION • Paul Lickorish has always been a Vauxhall fan. His first car was a Viva HB, and in the mid-1980s he drove several HA vans. In 1979 he was so impressed by the new Cavalier 2000 GLS that he vowed one day to own one. Now, 43 years later, KLP 489V more than lives up to his expectations.
TIMES CHANGE • Alan Sykes used to say that he wouldn't be seen dead in a 2CV. Spending time with him in his Citroën today, it is quite clear that he has been completely converted to the quirky cause.
GR ACE AND PACE • It is not every day that you find a Jaguar Mk2 included in an auction of catering equipment. When you do though, it is all too easy to lose interest in such mundane matters as saucepans and cutlery.
DOWN MEMORY L ANE IN A MKIV ZEPHYR • Some classics just seem to attract disdain, even from people who should know better. So to counter previous comments that may have portrayed the MkIV Zephyr/Zodiac range in a less than flattering light, here is a steamy tale of an enduring love affair with the big Ford.
PROJECT MGB GT • We need to fix the oil drips on our MGB GT, so we remove the engine and gearbox to replace the rear main oil seal.

RELIANT REGAL 3/25 DE-LUXE • Last issue we repaired the Regal’s fibreglass body and got all the bodyshell, doors, bonnet, bootlid and wheels coated in primer. This time our attention turns to the steel chassis that sits beneath those fibreglass panels.
PROJECT ROVER 95 • Work has continued at quite a pace on cutting rust out of the rear of the Rover, but most of our time has been spent figuring out how the panels need to be built back up to restore structural integrity and look right.
CVH ENGINE CASE STUDY • In the final episode of our mini series, we follow The Blue Oval Rescue Centre reassembling a 1.6-litre Ford CVH engine from a Mk2 Fiesta XR2.
VW GOLF Mk2 • Manufactured between 1983 and 1992, the second-generation of the Volkswagen Golf is an extremely usable classic which only gets more characterful as each year passes.
A HAPPY MARRIAGE • The Felicia was the first product of VW’s merger with Škoda in the early 1990s, and it melded the best of both companies. Now 28 years later, it is muchappreciated and values are starting to rise.
